Sunday Reflection – The Echo of Reflection

In the rush of coaching sessions, client breakthroughs, and business building, it’s easy to believe that experience alone is our teacher. But John Dewey reminds us: it’s not the moment itself; it’s the pause afterward. Reflection is the breath that turns action into wisdom. Without it, we’re just collecting moments. With it, we’re cultivating meaning.

As coaches, we often guide others to reflect, but how often do we ritualize it for ourselves? A weekly review, a journaling practice, or even a quiet walk can turn our own coaching into a mirror. Reflection helps us notice patterns, refine our presence, and deepen our impact. It’s not indulgent; it’s essential. The best coaches aren’t just experienced. They’re reflective.

In The Coach Valley, reflection is a rhythm. It’s the Grove listening to the footsteps we’ve left behind. This Sunday, light a candle, revisit a moment, and ask: What did this teach me?

The Valley grows not from what we do, but from what we understand.

Have a wonderful week.

Luc
